William Blake made him burn bright,
in a zoo, he tried to save a human life
the headlines turned it to a homicide.

Many years ago he hunted men
while men took their revenge
as their children now hunt Tiger cubs.

Days are going so fast and smooth
but a time is soon to come
when Tigers around the world
will be numbered less than total days in a year,
maybe less than days in a month,
God forbid! maybe even less than days in a week.

Oh poet, who made him burn bright
and you men who hunt him in light
had posed two thoughts in my mind
that, it’s not he is to be saved
but he is to be allowed
to flourish in the world of humankind!
