Rock and Me

Upon a rock where wild waves roar,
I stand with outstretched arms.
The wind, a poem; the sea, my heart,
Where earth and sky whisper together.

A dawn arises; the tides calm down;
The rock sleeps, knowing nothing.
A tempest drifts away from me,
And the rock still sleeps, knowing nothing.

No walls, no chains;
Just open skies, eyes, dreams.
The ocean asks; I answer free:
“A soul set free now beside the sea.”
